The service
PixelGuru Cloud offers accounts, project sync, realtime co-editing, team chat, comments, share links and a public community library. It is provided free of charge and may change, be limited by quotas, or be discontinued; we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.
The PixelGuru apps and firmware are licensed under the terms shipped with them. You can always run your own cloud server instead of ours.
Your account
- Give a working email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. You must be 15 or older.
- You can export your data and delete your account at any time in the app.
Acceptable use
Do not upload anything illegal, anything that infringes someone else’s rights, malware, or content that harasses or endangers people. Do not try to break, overload or probe the service, bypass quotas, or access other people’s data.
Flashing effects can trigger photosensitive seizures. Mark strobe-heavy items in their description, and when you perform, follow the safety guidance for LED props and batteries in the Academy.
Community uploads and licences
You keep the rights to what you publish. When you publish an item, you confirm you are allowed to share it, and you license it to everyone under the licence you choose:
- Creative Commons: CC0 1.0, CC BY 4.0, CC BY-SA 4.0, CC BY-NC 4.0 and CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 for patterns, palettes, pictures, profiles and shows.
- MIT: for PixelScript effects and generator plugins (code).
You also give us the permission we need to host, copy, display, thumbnail and distribute the item in the service, for as long as it is published. Unpublishing stops new downloads; copies others already took stay under the licence they got them with.
Moderation and takedown
Anyone can report an item with the Report button, or by email to hello@lightninja.io with a link and the reason. We review reports without undue delay.
We may hide or remove content, or restrict an account, when it breaks these terms or the law. We tell the uploader what was removed and why, and you can ask us to reconsider by replying to that message. Plugins and each new plugin version are reviewed before they become public.
Rights holders: send the item link, the work concerned and a statement that you own or represent the rights. We remove clearly infringing content promptly.
No warranty
The service, the apps and the firmware are provided “as is”, without any warranty, to the extent the law permits. We do our best to keep the service running and your data backed up, but we cannot guarantee availability or that data will never be lost – keep your own copies of important shows.
We are not liable for indirect damage or lost profit, or for damage caused by your props, batteries or rigging. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and we announce significant changes in the apps in advance. Czech law applies. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country.
