In the Launcher (Android, iOS)
- Open Settings → Account and sign in if needed.
- Tap Delete account….
- Enter your password and type your user name to confirm.
- Tap Delete account permanently. The app shows “Your account was deleted” and signs you out.
In Studio or Studio Online
In Studio (desktop) or Studio Online (app.lightninja.io): Profile and settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm with your password and user name. Before that you can download all your data there (Export).
By e-mail
If you cannot sign in or no longer have the app, write to hello@lightninja.io from the e-mail address of the account with the subject “Delete my account” and your user name. We may ask you to confirm the request, then delete the account within 30 days (usually much sooner) and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone:
- your e-mail address, password, profile (display name, avatar, bio, links) and sign-in sessions;
- your personal workspace and every team where you are the only member, with their projects, shows, music and pictures;
- notifications, settings, likes and the reports you filed;
- your community items: their content, files and previews are erased; only an empty “(deleted)” entry with its licence remains, so remixes keep a valid lineage;
- your chat messages and comments are emptied (shown as deleted).
If you are the only owner of a shared team that has other members, make someone else the owner first; the app tells you which team.
What is kept, and for how long
- Projects of shared teams that still have other members stay with that team (they belong to the team, not to you).
- A security log entry that an account was deleted, without your e-mail address or IP address.
- Backups: the nightly backups (14 daily and 8 weekly copies) still contain the old data until they roll over, at the latest after about 8 weeks. They are never used to bring a deleted account back.
- Copies of community items that other people already downloaded under an open licence.
Shows and settings saved on your phone or computer are not affected; remove them by uninstalling the app.
